The Hostess was most friendly and accommodating. When we needed to leave very early and would not be able to have the full breakfast, she fixed and carry bag for us. It was very good!
Dislikes:
Even though there was a small sofa in our room, there was no separate sitting area outside our room for late night or early morning reading while my wife slept.

Likes:
friendly & helpful owner, nice room to the back (nr. 4), huge bathroom, possibility to leave luggage at B&B on departure day after check-out, walking distance to city, bus stop and shops nearby
Dislikes:
despite spotless rooms the breakfast buffet/tables were not as clean as we would have expected, no separate spoons for jam/marmelade were provided, tables had stains, were sticky, crumbs all over etc.

We must say thankyou to Karen at Adam Drysdale House for welcoming us with such hospitality and genuine friendliness. We had a great weekend and that was enhanced by staying in such great accomodation. Karen stops at nothing to make you comfortable and has a manner that is professional but warm and this made us feel at home straight away. Read less

It is within 15-20 mins walk of the city centre so quite convenient and if you are not able to walk well, taxis are cheap. The accomodation was comfortable and nicely furnished and breakfast was fab!
Dislikes:
It would've been nicer to have a bit more pressure in the shower but we managed with it.

The location of the hotel was good, a pleasant walk from the Royal Mile, in a direction that one might not generally take for a short visit.
Our room seemed very sunny and welcoming.
